With JoikuSpot you can connect your laptop to internet using WiFi and your JoikuSpot powered N900 phone. In addition to laptops, JoikuSpot makes a perfect companion with iPad. You can WiFi tether your iPad with a JoikuSpot phone and connect your iPad to internet with no need for integrated 3G, additional USB dongles or MiFi. Simply use your JoikuSpot N900 phone for WiFi everywhere.

What is a mobile WiFi HotSpot app?

Installation: Purchase & install the JoikuSpot N900 Edition file to your N900 phone. JoikuSpot can be then found under the N900 phones Applications folder. With phones application manager you can always check for new releases.

Usage of JoikuSpot is simple. Click SHARE INTERNET in the main menu of JoikuSpot, and your N900 phone turns into a WiFi HotSpot. Then, scan for open WiFi networks in your laptop or iPod, discover your JoikuSpot and click CONNECT. You are now JoikuSpotting in Internet. Open your laptop's web browser and start surfing!

SETTINGS: If you wish to secure your JoikuSpot Internet connection, select SETTINGS in the main menu of JoikuSpot (in STOPPED MODE), and set the Encryption ON (by default OFF) and define your connection password and desired security level. Under settings menu you will also find additional configurable parameters such as setting a default Internet APN (your operator's normal Internet access point for 3G), and customizing your JoikuSpot connection name (SSID).

Joikusoft recommends FLAT RATE HIGH SPEED data subscriptions with your network operator, as operators charge for the mobile data traffic originating from JoikuSpot usage.
